Company's current prospecting licences cover almost 3.7 million acres in this area, and the company intends to use any production from its potential gas field for power generation and production of gas-to-liquids (fuels and petrochemicals).
The plans for commercial operations of the BVI company include a 1,000 megawatt power plant which will begin in 2013, for which approximately 0.7 trillion cubic feet of proven gas resource is needed. Commercial gas production is anticipated in 2010.
