About the BVI company:

McW. Todman & Co is a law firm founded in 1969 on the British Virgin Islands by Dr. McWelling Todman. The firm is situated on the upper floors of the Todman building at the centre of Road Town, Tortola.

It is interesting that Dr. Todman was the first native British Virgin Islander operating a law firm in these islands. Now the law firm has retained its roots in the BVI community and still continues to grow and develop in the legal environment that characterizes the British Virgin Islands. McW. Todman & Co is one of the top litigation practices in the BVI; also it offers discreet services to clients in corporate formation and management, through its wholly owned McNamara Corporate Services Limited.

McW. Todman & Co is working internationally; each of its lawyers is licensed for practicing in at least one jurisdiction, other than in the BVI. The firm is a member of the Caribbean Law Firm Group, with a network of relationships in all the common law jurisdictions bordering the Caribbean Sea.

The firm is often recommended by several reputable firms of Solicitors practising in London, Toronto, Perth, Singapore and Hong Kong as well as Attorneys in Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, New York and Washington D.C. and has worked in collaboration with leading English Queen's Counsel from Erskine Chambers, 3 Stone Buildings, Pump Court, Fountain Court and other internationally recognized Barristers' chambers out of London.

Mr. Terrance Neale, Mr. John Carrington and Ms. Heather Tull in 2004 were appointed as consultants on BVI legal matters to Charles Russell LLP, a well-known firm of solicitors of 8-10 New Fetter Lane EC1 4RS, London. In co-operation with Charles Russell LLP, the law firm provides various services in relation to BVI commercial law matters.
